The Congress

Initiators of the International BBB Congress Series are the professors of the BBB Network of Technical Universities from Germany, Austria and Switzerland, the so-called DACH-region.

"BBB" is the German equivalent to the international acronym CEM (Construction Engineering and Management) and covers the broad spectrum of construction management sciences.

A special format has been created with the series of International BBB Congresses, which take place every two years: Construction companies, public and private clients, engineering firms, experts, construction lawyers and scientifically interested parties report and learn about issues, problems, opportunities and developments focused on the profile of each congress edition.

The current congress is organized according to the motto "Shaping the future of construction today" and is divided into eleven exciting subject areas, which can be found in the Call for Papers.

Presentations by selected experts will be brought to the public and thus make a valuable contribution to technical, professional, economic and social developments for a sustainably designed and value-oriented built environment.

The events hosted in 2011, 2013, 2015, 2017 and 2019  had  participations from beyond the DACH-region and we hope this is the case in the 2021 edition as well. Additionally, the 2021 congress edition will take place online!
The program will include both German and English language sessions.
